A Space for Emotion and Photography
When creating the Foto Skrytka website, I wanted the design itself to become part of the story told through Małgorzata Metlicka’s photographs.
Rather than a simple photo catalog, I envisioned a virtual gallery – calm, minimalist, and with plenty of room for the images to breathe.
I went with subtle typography, a light background, and a natural flow that guides visitors from one photograph to the next, almost like walking through an art gallery.
The goal wasn’t just to showcase the photos, but to capture the emotions behind them – gently, without rushing, and in a way that reflects the photographer’s own artistic vision.
Project Style & Design
White – Primary Color
On this website, white works like the silence between musical notes. It gives the eyes room to breathe and lets the emotions captured in the photographs take center stage.
It brings a sense of purity and clarity, balancing out the darker tones throughout the design.

Deep Black – Secondary Color
This shade of black adds a sense of professionalism, mystery, and depth to the website while highlighting the delicate beauty and artistic feel of the photographs.

Light Gray – Secondary Color
Unlike black, this shade doesn’t draw attention to itself. Instead, it gently guides the eye through descriptions, captions, and smaller design elements.
